The Main Goal of the iCOPE Project

The incidence of childhood cancer is increasing in Europe by 6-10% per ten years, and the continued high mortality rate (cancer accounts for 20% of all childhood deaths for children in the age of 1 and more) underlines the need for innovative research.

The main goal for the iCOPE project is to increase the number of researchers, including focusing on specifically increasing the number of female researchers, iCOPE will create synergy in the research of childhood cancer as well as being the forefront in genetic research and E-Health in children with cancer.
